Call of Duty 2024 Will Launch on PS4 and XOne (Leak)

Data from a recent leak suggests that Activision plans to release Call of Duty on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as late as 2024.










The next two installments of Call of Duty may be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is what documents from the December data leak experienced by Activision and accessed by duty-2024-past-generation-consoles/”Insider Gaming.

According to journalist Tom Henderson, information so far indicated that this year’s installment of the series, Project Cerberus (originally due for release only in 2024), would be the last to hit 8th-gen consoles. However, leaked data that has hit the web indicates that also the next CoD may be released on PS4 and XOne.

Henderson points out that while the authenticity of the documents is not in much doubt, the information they contain may be outdated. After all, as we mentioned, the hacking of Activision’s servers was supposed to take place in December, and the company has already managed to change its plans on other issues.

Nevertheless, it is worth noting that Microsoft has only just signed contract with Nintendo, in which it pledged to release the next installments of Call of Duty on the Japanese manufacturer’s platforms (provided its acquisition of Activision Blizzard is successful).

So while the company has no imminent plans to launch a new console, the next CoD games would be coming out for Nintendo Switch – a much less powerful device than the PS4 and XOne. In that case, there would be no reason for Activision
